Why Advertise Locally Online? Utilizing Local Search Methods to Create Brand Awareness and Increase Visibility. “The fact is your local business website will be found most often through a local search. 70% of U.S. households use the Internet to make decisions when shopping locally for products and services ” (Kelsey Group, 2005)..The most important facet of doing SEO for local searches is utilizing the correct keywords. As far as search engines are concerned, using "local" and "relevant" keywords within the site content and strategically within the meta tags is absolutely pertinent, a fact often overlooked in many local SEO marketing campaigns. It is best to have a keyword density of 2% to 5% per page for each specific keyword. Also, be sure to optimize Web sites for local search visibility by including address information within the title tags as well in the main text. |
